Subtle hint?

My mom wins points for best subtle baby hint by placing this on my bedroom door during our trip down to L.A. for the Lunar New Year. There has been a lot of baby talk lately (friends, cousins, husband's brother) so I was quite surprised to enter my childhood bedroom to find this hanging on the door. My mom claims that she "accidentally" forgot to pack them away for our new little cousin in Vietnam but we know all better...

Tulip Surprise

The husband provided me with the perfect surprise while working from home...two dozen tulips to brighten up the home and myself (working from home during the winter has made the home a little grey and dreary).

Although winter does have some advantages... a break away from Silicon Valley to enjoy a mini-vacation to Whistler, Canada for the Olympics. Providing advance warning of Olympic photobomb-blogs to come at the end of February :-)

Lens Playing Part Two...

I've finally been playing with my camera extension tubes and have been incredibly happy with the results. At one point, I might want to splurge for a decent macro lens but for the time being, I am super happy with my tubes* :-)
